Illness

If your child develops an illness before camp, please visit your health care provider before coming to camp. Any child who has been ill, hospitalized, or on Prednisone in the 30 days prior to camp will be examined by one of the pediatric providers at asthma camp on the day of check in.

Kids with asthma and their parents have a list of health and safety concerns. At asthma camp, many of the counselors have asthma themselves, and if they don’t, they have been thoroughly trained to handle any emergency that may arise. Some of the health and safety features you will find at asthma camp include:

  • Well-trained and knowledgeable staff
  • Onsite medical team
  • Medical facilities, equipment, and supplies
  • Tailored asthma information and guidance
  • Closely monitored and administered asthma medications
  • Illness - Word format
    Illness - PDF format
